I remember when I signed up on this site as Totally ADD which was 5 years ago plus. I had a horror story to tell about the abuses I went through as a child in this cult. Since then mentally I am much better. For the most part what I have notice is my story was not uncommon among the many who was a born-in or who parents came into the cult when they was a small child. Yes their was those who had a good life but that was the exception and not the rule. To my surprise many of the stories were far worse than what I went through. I guess what I am trying to say is. How much worse can this cult get when it comes to the abuses it has allowed to happen to innocent children? When it comes to the term child abuse I am in agreement with what Christopher Hitchens had to say on this matter. ("Child abuse" is really a silly an pathetic euphemism for what has been going on: we are talking about the systematic rape and torture of children, positively aided and abetted by a hierarchy which knowingly moved or ("protected" my words) offenders to parishes where they would be safer. )
This in part shows the WT religion always functions to ensure its own survival. While it may espouse various ideas about brotherhood, love and community, these are always secondary to the WT survival. Think about this. If your training in the JW cult was anything like mine, chances are much of it was downright immoral. Immoral in the sense that the values that were taught were racist, sexist, insulting and cruel to other groups, and misleading if not downright wrong about human relationships, sexuality, science, education, other religions and many other things. We must remember the systematic rape and torture of children is only a part of the mental health issues caused by the JW cult. How much hatred, suspicion, conflict, strife, even violence and death, is caused by this cult? How many families are torn apart by this cult? How many children are terrorized by the demon-haunted world they are forced to inhabit?
By exposing the manipulations of the WT cult, an opportunity for greater choice and freedom is opened for all of us. Author Darrel W.
