the question is directed at those members who still attend the meetings--to whatever extent--to make life easier. those who perhaps still associate to keep the peace in their family.etc.-----but dont believe it any more.

what do you call yourself--a jehovah's wtness? what religion (if any) do you write in that box if a form asks you?

what do you think you are really--in your own mind?

it would be intersting to read your responses.

    I call myself elderelite....

Ok now for the none smartass answer..... Its actually a very reasonable question. When people ask i tell them i was raised a witness... If they press i tell them attend meetings, but am not a believer. No one cares...

i dithered about in the religion for the period 1971-81. i never thought of myself as a jw in those years. i attended from time to time just to appease the wife. i really dont think anything would have happened (divorce ?) if i had stopped completely.

if asked--i would say atheist--which i was then and nothing has changed.

    Sorry.......

But does it really matter what one calls themselves when they know the WTBS is not "The Truth" and they continue to go for whatever reasons/excuses???

There is only one true reason. FEAR (of man) and Lack of faith. Sorry but its the honest truth.

justmom (who " spent" my whole life inside with family still there) But not NO MORE...... lol

If we're still "in" we have to call ourselves a witless or we'll blow our cover!

But if someone I trust, outside of the conned-green-nation, were to ask me what my belief is, I would say agnostic.

I heard one brother say "I am a Christian in association with Jehovah's Witnesses." I thought that was cool.

Now just the Christian part lol...

In my opinion central part of being true witness is the witnessing part. Even though in official registry it states Jehovas witness, I don't feel that way as I do not participate in witnessing. Closest I could describe me in my current situation is marked but unbanned witness hangaround.

Yes, what elderelite mentions here is a good point. If I am asked about my religious status by other than witnesses I tell them that I am not religious person.

I identify myself as a HEATHEN, i.e. someone who does not follow established religions.

I'm not as bold as the Corinthians to identify as Christian, I'll let Immanuel decide that.
