I read the May (public) WT and noted how it was almost indistinguishable from the Awake - including stuff for small children to read!
Now, why would they create two 16 page magazines? Why not one 32 page AwakeTower? Maybe because they are so blindly bound to tradition that they can't bring themselves to kill off the Awake completely. And the 'confidential' aspect of this looks ham-handed as well.
They keep pushing and pushing against college while Witnesses quietly disobey. This is politically and tactically foolish. If you can't get traction on an issue with the masses, it's best not to damage your authority any further and stop the emphasis.
They seem foolishly unaware of "brand identity' loss in regard to their Brooklyn Headquarters. They seem surprized that their Family Study night isn't working.
The downsized Sunday talk is embarrassing. You get some typically unthinking, uncritical elder spewing negativity for a half hour to a degree I cringe at.
The whole 'generation' thing should have been left alone. Creating an 'overlap' accomplished nothing useful. Duh! There's no time limit on Armageddon. Stop talking about it, you Theocratic dolts.
I see a collective leadership that doesn't measure up even compared to the Watchtower's anti-intellectual past. No great prophetic vision, no bold ideas, not even competent marketing. Cutting back, however clumsily, seems the order of the day.
I'll believe the 'barely absorbent enough to paper train puppies' magazines when I see them.... but overall, this is the Governing Body That Couldn't Shoot Straight.
