    Watchtower Identifies Brainwashing

Today I added a new article to my blog. As it turns out, the Watchtower organization does a pretty fair job identifying at least one technique of brainwashing. I say, if the shoe fits then put it on the foot it fits.

My article is titled Watchtower Identifies Brainwashing and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2012/04/watchtower-identifies-brainwashing.html

As I recall, Marvin - back in the day (1970s) they had a very critical article in the Awake about Jonestown and what a horrible CULT it was.

The WTS. own Watchtower study is prime example of a controlled brain washing technique, where the reader is given

a segment of information in paragraph form, supplemented by a couple of bible scriptures extrapolated out of context to support the information,

then followed by giving an answer which is purposeful set within the given paragraph.

Self endeavored critical examination upon the information is thereby thwarted and the intensional thought control continues with more pre-designed

information control by the WTS. Making everyone think, act, talk and look the same is the underlining inspiring agenda by this religious publishing house,

for its really in the organization's best interests in creating their own sales Representatives toward the public.

Thanks, Marvin. I vaguely recall that Awake! article. I think I may have even wondered, "isn't that what we do?" but as the faithful old brother who was quoted in another WT publication said, "Our brains need a good washing"...

Please see the next paragraph to that quoted by Marviin.

"Evolutionists that specialize in the Big Lie that ‘Evolution is a fact’ also take another leaf out of Hitler’s book, for in it he said of the masses he controlled: “With the primitive simplicity of their minds they will more easily fall victims to a great lie than to a small one, since they themselves perhaps also lie sometimes in little things, but would certainly still be too much ashamed of too great lies.” A book of popular quotations lists this one among them: “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it often enough, many will believe it.” The one evolutionists tell is apparently big enough, and it’s certainly told often enough, for millions believe it."

The power of the big lie eh! "if you tell a big lie often enough.........." Hmmmm.

Watchtower has never had any problem pointing to cults and cult-like behavior, unless it had to do with its own tactics.

Good one, TheTrueOne I'm glad you wrote that. Read on the net couple of years back, about a hypnotherapist in Brisbane, Australia, who'd been to a few JW meetings for research, and said their teaching/meetings techniques are based on hypnosis. Wished I'd taken note of his name
