I like Bart Ehrman's lectures and his take on the whole thing, I know some scholars do not agree entirely with him, but after all he may be right and they may not, we have little to go on as to the Historical Jesus.
He is a bit of fresh air in some ways as most scholars in this field are christian, or some are atheist from the get go, he comes from a believing background to where he is today.
I think we have to recognise that he is also an author with an incentive to sell his books, which may colour some of his judgements do you think ?
If you wanted a thoroughly trustworthy scholarly opinion from someone with no axe to grind, our very own Leolaia is perfect.
But anything by him is well worth a read or a listen
