In case you didn't notice, there are a couple of illustrations of the famous freemason John Coustos being tortured in the DVD Faith in Action. One picture has him tied to a torture wheel and the other illustration shows him being tortured by an arm-stretchting torture device...

NO.... I'M NOT SAYING THAT THE FREEMASONS ARE TAKING OVER THE WORLD... SO PLEASE DON'T GET EXCITED...

by the way, the DVD also mentions John Calvin, the freemason who invented the deity "Great Architect of the Universe" (also used by JWs)...

Russell used a lot of Masonic expressions, though it is doubtful he was a member, I wouldn't be surprised if close family members were.

I find it amazing the gall of the W.T when the use illustrations, and quotes and examples, all involving people and ideas they thoroughly disagree with !

As I said on another thread, I think the the boys in the Writing Department have a competition going between themselves as to who can slip the most outrageous thing past the R&F JW's without comment, it must be true, they are getting ever more "brazen" !

again... I'm not saying that JWs are Freemasons or that the Freemasons are taking over the world... but the info in this thread is worth looking into if anyone is interested in digging further...

Charles taze Russell might not have been an active member of the Freemasons, but he is quilty by association. And so is the WTB&TS.
