I have this friend, I used to encourage to go to meetings and preach. Now he is still not going regularly to meetings or preaching but keep sending me emails about how much Jehovah loves us and how close the big A is .... WTF?!!!!

He's probably just trying to cover his ass by acting all witlessey because he either needs to remain "in" and/or knows it's all a scam but hasn't allowed himself to admit it yet.

Hubby's brother, a long-standing and much respected Witness, barely visits his natural brothers and sisters. He looks the part; tall, distinguished. The one time I sat at the same table with him he went on a long monologue about some conspiracy theory. "Gosh!" I thought, "He's looneytoons!" Here's an example of a "true believer" who would not leave the society. He has no doubts. He's cracked!
If he would simply keep his mouth shut, he'd be so convincing.
