I swear the captchas to login to JWD are harder than my bank.

They need to change the name to gotchas; like "you thought you were gonna get to log-in but GOTCHA".

The concept is nice, but I don't like O's that look like 0's, A's that look like 9's, and H's that look like 4's. Some of them are so distorted that it is impossible to distinguish between letters (I have seen lower case a's that look almost like lower case d's, 9s, or r's.)

I understand that we need to keep the board spam-free. Otherwise, every time someone posts something anti-Christian, a fundamentalist Christian group is going to spam those threads. Or, you will get complete rubbish--usually infested with worms and viruses. Those captchas are designed to keep those spambots out--usually for crap products but sometimes for pro-Christian groups. But they do not need to be impossible for the average human with good vision and a clear monitor to distinguish between characters.

It has taken me many more than 3 times to get in, especially if I have been logged out from my phone. Getting back in on the pc might take a few but the phone is a nightmare.

I can go weeks without being able to log in just having a few attempts each day and then giving up. I can't post from my phone and I can get on internet most days so I can live with it.

Looking forward to the launch of the new improved site muchly.

Don't think the Captchas just on this site are difficult, no matter where you sign in and get the Captchas it's difficult, I can usually read my computer without glasses but when I get a Captcha, it's glasses plus putting my nose just about up on the screen to try to figure out what the heck all those letters are saying.

I just signed onto a new writing site. they don't use captchas. instead they ask a pretty mundane question. Mine was: What color is the sky usually on a sunny day. It seems like a good option---but I'm sure some bots could figure it out.
