The structure of the WTBTS in the UK is that they have split the asset & trading divisions ( presumably to ringfence a catastophic legal claim , such as a paedophilia class action. ) In fairness to the Society , this is a model that many companies follow , and it also makes it easier for the property arm to sale & leaseback its assets.

IBSA ( primarily the asset holding division )

Watch Tower ( trading division )

One interesting nugget was that the WTBTS paid £280,000 to financial advisors during the year. WTBTS of Britain has over £10 million in unlisted investments , including derivatives. No wonder the society top brass get invited to so many conferences.

Interesting figures. There seems to be a lot of shuffling around of funds, so hard to really know what it means. There is a significant jump in voluntary income for 2011 and 2010, compared to prior years, but it is hard to know if this is from donations, from the US branch, or due to consolidation of another branch office closing.

What is interesting is that the cost of producing the magazines is now more than, or on par with the revenue from distributing the magazines. Gone are the days where that was a good revenue producing stream. I have never seen the financial statements from the 1980's, but it would be interesting to compare this figure.

At that, 71 million pounds in total Net funds is not a bad figure.

I wonder if the British branch will release that figure to the JWS in England ?

Thats 113 million in US dollars.
