Came across this debate regarding Noah's Ark & the Flood!

Iam doing research on this subject and found it to be very interesting!

It is quite long but if you are interested in the science behind the study .... it is not long enough!

The debate becomes humourous as the arguement continues.

Frank Zindler reminds me of Christopher Hitchings in many ways.

    Enjoy for those so inclined!

Since you are conducting research, this will take your interest:

In your search, I presume you are including the flood stories of the surrounding nations.

    Thanks for the link Doug!

Interesting ....... I could hear more than one voice! Always wondered why the stories would contradict itself in the next sentence and then back again!

I love this paragraph on 'my' link ..............

ZINDLER:...created on the third day of creation week, [ 14] along with the ocean basins, but that at that time Mt. Ararat was only about ten to twelve thousand feet high. Now if all the water came down in forty days and drowned all the mountains of the world, that would require the rain to come down at about eleven and a half feet per hour. John, that's not rain, that's hydraulic mining! Everything would have been swept off the surface of the continents. The continents would be absolutely denuded down to crystalline rocks. All the sedimentary rocks would have been deposited in the ocean basins. Now clearly, that's not the pattern that we see... and it would certainly imply... that does away with Noah's flood!

Of course everything would be washed away (denuded) & deposited into ocean basins .....NOT MOUNTAIN TOPS!

Evidence shows sea shells on mountains not by flood waters but by earths plates shifting over the years and pushing up & dragging fossils with it ....not horizontally but vertically!

Wish I could talk to a palientologist (sp) who has actually found shells on mountains!
