Another Anti-Aging Note

Over at yahoo Science, researchers announced that new brain cells
(neurons) can grow in old mice - and apparently function as part
    of the brain.
Even old mice/people can have working stem cells in the body.
If science can slow down or stop the aging process (I would say
it is EXTREMELY LIKELY that practical ways to do this will be
found in less than a decade), then emerging stem cell technology
could take care of the past damage.

I emphasize again, this stuff is NOT far off science fiction.
Companies already exist that are developing human tissue
regeneration - and expect to get very rich doing it.

Business as usual for religions WILL come to an end in a
    few years.

When the Watchtower drones on about 'puny humans' and their
failures, don't waste your time listening to them. They
deliberately try to down play the amazing advances spilling
out of laboratories - almost daily.

They are losing their children, their money, and
now, their false hopes - amen!

"Business as usual for religions WILL come to an end in a

There is a hell of a lot more to faith in God than the advances made by science and their forcasts. Even if human life is extended, nice but what difference does it really make? It is the quality of such life that matters and a good religion will only improve it.

As research discovers more and more about our natural world it strenghthens my faith in a creator

I do not know what science will be able to do for us in my lifetime, but nothing has changed my appreciation for the gift of life from our God

I'm not an atheist - if religion encourages compassion
    and justice, so be it.

On the other hand, if it just offers spiritual opium that
prevents people from improving themselves (like charity
and education in the Watchtower), then I rejoice when I
    see science eroding it.
