The picture I saw of him on TV he was wearing an ear ring in both ears. Also the article I read said the neighbors would see him sitting on the porch smoking. After those two things I seriously doubted he was a JW. Perhaps some of his family was attending some meetings.

It was a Pentacostal Holiness church. The minister spoke on TV news Saturday about how totally destroyed the mother and daughter were.
Good lesson on not judging too quickly, and (for the ex-JW people) to not just automatically blame the JWs for everything.
