I don't remember reading about this aspect of cult tactics in Hassan's Combatting Cult Mind Control:

As soon as I saw this heading I thought of the thread not so long ago about the governing body claiming the 9/11 attacks were aimed at them in the elevator of one of the Trade Center buildings.

Strange-this article says 'Jehovah's Witnesses aren't allowed to wear gold rimmed glasses'...I've never heard that one before. Noticed another factual error in the quick scan of the article. They need to check their facts to make this article more reliable.

That thing about the gold rimmed glasses is news to me also.
If that wasn't a genuine error on the writer's part, they need to realise that telling the truth is enough and you don't need to make things up to get your point across.
