I just read that at the trial they were surprised at the low turn out from the press is. One report I read said that they had 40 empty seats in the courtroom. Really?

After all the weeks that the news went on with the John Edward's trail and the other trail that is making huge news about the sports player I thought for sure this one would be huge.

I guess I just do not understand what seems to be such a lack of interest now when this is talking about childern being abused. Any ideas of why this is not making the new like John Edwards did?

He is such a dispicable piece of shit, I really don't want to hear anymore about him than what I can't avoid just watching TV news.

Hope he spends his life in prison.

There was a report of one victim/survivor, #1, his testimony, and he has been through the ringer telling his story over and over, in front of more and more people. I remember the people like him that are not interested in being put on display in the first place, but have to repeat the horrors of the past over and over. It could be they are keeping the audience in court down to the bare minimum.

I totally agree Glander about Sanducky being a disgusting person who if there is a hell he has a special place waiting there for him I am sure.

The huge reason I want this to be on the news more then it seems is I want justice. I do not want to see him just walk away.

It hits home for me because I was abused and I never had any recourse nor will I ever have any recourse.

Also the huge reason I woke up to this not being the truth the religion that God is with is because of a pedophile we had in the hall This man according to his court records and police records is declared a sexual psychopath from the state hospital. Yet the elders hid him from the congregation not waiting anyone to know of his past. At the memorial this year one of the elders came up to me and thanked me for coming I just lit into this idiot and said you know what is going on at Penn State right now with the Sandusky thing you elders could have the same thing happen to you. I truly could have said the F word to this elder the way he acted. He held his hands up to stop my words but I just let him have it. I told him way more than that which I have just written here. I told him you know what happened to Joe Paterno do you truly think you elders can avoid the law if this guy molested just one of the children or dtd. The stupid elder said "YES Jehovah would protect them." I told him you are living in a fools paradise if you believe that. I was totally graphic in spelling out how this pedophile raped the children he did one being his own daughter as his police records give the details.

Anyway I just hope this trail scares the elders if not even Bethel that they are not above the law just like I hope Sandusky is not.

I hope you are right Blondie. It not that I want to know what happened to the poor victims I just want them to nail Sanducky. Mike McWQueary seemed to do well today and I thought that was great. I know some think McQueary should have done more to stop the assault in the locker-room but I personally know that when I spoke out, even telling Bethel no one would listen. I truly feel that McQueary went through the same thing I did. The fact that he is still speaking out now says a lot about him, he has put his name on the line for saying what he has he is standing up for the children and I give him tons of credit for that.

Do these J.w's offer support for victims of child abuse by their members or ex-members or are the predators receiving the help instead?

I speak as an abuse victim who fought the WTS and won. But I don't want to diminish the courrage of these young men to come forward. The WTS never provides support for abuse victims in their organization. I have met many and know what the WTS has done to try to silence them and make the victim the problem not the abuser. Other organizations use similar tactics, not to excuse the WTS, after all they say they are the only true religion with God's blessing, a heavier responsibility then on the WTS.

NO they only blame the victims! I was told I was crazy mentally ill, etc. Help for me YEH right!

I agree with what blondie said. They demand silence from the victim and treat the child rapist with the most loving kindness you will ever see. I have not a doubt that the sexual psychopath in the hall would have been appointed an MS if I had not been there.

It seems from what I have seen of the Sandusky that most people just want the victims to go away so they can live in thinking pedophiles do not exist.

There's an attorney that comes to my courtroom frequently that is part of the Sandusky trial

team. He's under a gag-non order until the trial is over. I think he's probably just doing it

for the publicity. I doubt that Sandusky will ever see the light of day though. Just my thoughts...
