Just so you know that there is another side to it:

    Chet Atkins
Roy Clark (Very good on the banjo too)
    Glenn Campbell
    Jerry Reed
    Willie Nelson
Buck Trent (very good on the banjo too)
Davis St Romain (I know no one here has heard of him. He's a local talent in my area but he was (past tense) as good as anyone could ever get)

    Hey Frenchy,

I always wanted to asked you if you liked Cajun and Zydeco music. I heard it live in Flint Michigan a couple years ago at a free festival-concert. All the white people were jumpen and movin and all the black people were wonderin what was going on, even though most of the people in the band were black, except for the white lead singer.

"Everywhere I go I love that Zydeco, although they play it slow, I love my Zydeco. Yes, yes, yes, I know I love that Zydeco."

Any thoughts on this profound subject?

    larc,
I don't like zydeco or cajun music in particular. I grew up listening to Hank Williams, Webb Pierce, Patsy Cline, Jimmie Rodgers and I still love that music. I don't like the new 'country'.
