the last sentance should read :
"This is a tragic case where members of a religious group have brought liability on the group for actions they alone are responsible for."
instead the lawyers statement tries to distract your attention from the fact the case was based on the POLICY THE ELDERS HAD TO NOT REPORT THIS TO THE AUTHORITYS.
they are trying to throw jonny under the bus.

Strymeckirules: You are dead on. As if this was any surprise that the ORG would throw this guy under the bus. Fact remains the ORG adoped a policy of silence which makes them liable. If they had not done so we all wouldn't be here now would we. I know that at some point I will run into someone from the Dubs and I fully intent to bring this up. Just dying to see what they say.
