  Here in Oz one national TV station is broadcasting an evening of Morse as a tribute to the late actor John Thaw.

  Thought you UK posters would like to know that Morse's popularity was worldwide.

  I loved Morse, they are repeating it on TV (in the UK)at the moment.

  I am too young to remember the flying squad but my all time favourite John Thaw character was Tom in 'Goodnight Mr Tom'.
