Now, we realize things are tough right now for you guys, but...you are telling the world how unfair the recent damages awarded against you are because he was not in a position of responsability " This is the first time that an organization was found responsible for the alleged misdeeds of a member who held no position of leadership or authority''
But he's not just a 'member' is he? He is an ordained minister!
11 The second question asks the candidate, first of all, if he understands that his baptism serves to identify him as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. After undergoing immersion, he becomes an ordained minister who bears Jehovah’s name. This is both a great privilege and a serious responsibility. It also puts the one baptized in line for eternal salvation, provided he remains faithful to Jehovah.—Matthew 24:13. (watchtower 4/1/2006)
You have no division between your rank and file and the teachers do you?
Jehovah’s Witnesses today try to live according to Scriptural principles. They recognize that social classes have no meaning in the eyes of God. Thus, they have no clergy/laity division (wt 1/1/2002)
So when a Jehovahs witness does wrong, one of your ordained ministers has done it.
but you do like your divisions though don't you! When it comes to keeping pioneers off the draft it was ''oh he's an ordained minister!' But when it comes to getting in trouble for protecting criminals it's "oh he's not in a position of authority (elder/clergy)''!
So, you have got 7 million ordained ministers you better keep a sharp eye on, or you better get a clergy/ laity thing going for real...
