It is a very important line of argumentation in overcoming logical fallacies. There are many claims that are impossible to disprove. The burden on proof in such cases should be on those making such claims to prove them, not the other way around. These claims are the foundation of cults.
For example, the claim that Jesus started ruling in 1914. It is impossible to prove that he did not start ruling then, but the burden of proof should rest of the shoulders of those making that claim to prove that he did.
