How many DOs and COs report all their income? Do they pay taxes on the apartments and vehicles that are provided for them? Do they keep track of all the donations they receive? From talking to a few COs they seem to knock down about $70,000.00 a year. I'm no accoutant so I don't know the legalities of all of this but I'd be willing to bet that there's a whole lot of tax fraud going on.
Maybe some public minded citizens ought to make a few phone calls to the IRS. Might even make a few bucks, I understand you get a percentage of whatever the government recovers in these cases. The IRS can be very persistent unless it's someone like Jesse Jackson.
