Seems like a one-sided friendship. Pretty much be a lackey to Jehovah (in this perception, Jehovah is a man in his 30's playing a rich teenage jerk who walks over everyone to get what he wants.) or he'll hurt and/or kill you.
I bet Jehovah calls you meathead and demands you do his dirty work, otherwise he'll give ya a knuckle sammich.

I'm reminded of an episode of MST3K about Merlin. It was sort of like the old Friday the 13th TV series, but Merlin had the cursed objects. Practically everyone around him end up dead or wishing they had died if they didn't take Merlin's advice. Sometimes Merlin would cause the harm just to teach the hapless mortals a lesson.
In the words of one of the SOL puppets pretending to be Merlin, "Believe in the power of magic! Or I'll kill you."
