  The question of an international conspiracy called "BIG BUSINESS" arises.

  J.F.Rutherford embraced the idea that an international cabal of Jewish bankers was manipulating world leaders. Business, Religion and surrogate political leadership were engaged in oppressing righteous people through Satan's control.

  "It has been the commercial Jews of the British-American empire that have built up and carried on Big Business as a means of exploiting and oppressing the peoples of many nations....This fact is so manifest in America that there is a proverb concerning the city of New York....'the Jews own it, the Irish Catholics rule it, and the Americans pay the bills.'" 1934 Yearbook Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 'Declaration of Facts', (The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, 1933) p. 135-36

  The 1934 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses reveals a shocking plea made to Hitler's regime by the Watchtower President in a personal letter.

  "The present government of Germany has declared emphatically against Big Business oppressors and in opposition to the wrongful religious influence in the political affairs of the nation. Such is exactly our position:...Instead of being against the principles advocated by the government of Germany, we stand squarely for such principles and point out that Jehovah God through Christ Jesus will bring about the full realization of these principles..."

  So, in view of the above, would it be a distortion of the facts to say to Jehovah's Witnesses today two things they would not like to hear?

  1.The Faithful and Discreet Slave was a conspiracy theorist who sided with Hitler against the Jews.

  2.The Third Reich was viewed as an ally by the President of the Watchtower corporation.

  FACT? or DISTORTION?

  its insane how the cult mind works. anything they dont want to hear is immediately dismissed as a lie. what would happen to a person who only ever heard what they wanted to hear...

  Great quote Terry. I wish Hollywood would do a full length feature film on the coordinated information coverup, lies and outright hypocrisy that this publishing corporation has distilled since its beginning. When you think about it, it really is the only reason it still exists. If every Witness had access to these old documents and could study them, the ship would surely sink. There is such a chasm between fact and reality when it comes to the how the average publisher perceives this organization as being "spirit directed".

  Terry, where else could JWs go? All other religions are false.

  In other words, details of doctrine/history are of no concern. It's a matter of authority. In the JW mind, only 'The Society' speaks with authority. This authority comes from God.

  Everything else is of no concern, including the facts.

  Yeah, JWs were once led by someone who now would be considered as a "New World Orderer", the kind of nonsense still shoveled out by the likes of Alex Jones (over at Infowars.com). The conspiracy theory that Jews control everything stems from the Middle Ages, when the Rothschilds were supposedly the ones in control of ALL gov'ts.

  Nowadays, such types have been forced to tone down the anti-Semitic rhetoric, but it's the same unstated bigoted message coming thru, loud and clear....

  The Russians under the Soviet regime found a way to control large populations of captive citizens by "detoxifying history".

  Rewriting history books, doctoring old photos, repeating lies until they sounded true and carefully cleansing vocabulary of worrisome phrases while adding new definitions--all became a successful indoctrination methodology.

  The Watchtower religion has found these practices every bit as useful!

  Even though the President of the Society was an Anti-Semite more than willing to have Hitler embrace the Jehovah's Witnesses as like-minded and sympatico--the publications of this selfsame religion present the rank and file as martyrs under the Nazi regime!

  The WHOLE truth is not the Truth told.

  The only message any active witness ever hears is about how brave, noble and self-sacrificing the brothers were in the concentration camps.

  These stories (devoid of the whole truth about Rutherford and Hitler) are spoon fed to the media until academic works have accepted these cherry-picked

  press releases as the ONLY story. Then, the Watchtower reaches into these seemingly "neutral" writings and---essentially--quotes them as proof.

  Actually, they are reading what was dictated TO academia in the first place!

  Well thats interesting that Rutherford was acknowledging Jewish banking control yet still considered Babylon the Great with its "Kingdom over the Kings of the Earth" to be Rome and "false religion" rather than Jerusalem and the international bankers.

  It wasnt just the JWs that held that now unpopular view, Jewish British Primeminister Benjamin Disraeli stated the same notion, British Primeminister David Lloyd George said in 1909 that the most powerfull man in Britain was Lord Rothschild, and he reported that at the Treaty of Versailles that 120 international bankers ruled over the proceedings with the absolute authority of monachs.

  British Prime Minister Winston Churchill had very strong and anti-semetic views untill he was bailed out by one over his gambling debts, Henry Ford would give a copy of the Protocols of Zion with every car he sold, it was very prevalant back then, even after Jews had served in the American forces in WW2 and the Jewish suffering had been discovered, those soldiers still returned to rampant anti-semetism back home.

  I seem to remember the British as well causing death by refusing entry to Jewish refugees on ships that they prevented docking in Palestine.

  This isnt just a JW thing, it was pretty prevalant everywhere back then.

  Ahhh, but, let us not miss the point that Rutherford and the Watchtower were GUIDED in their writings, opinions and beliefs directly by Jehovah!
