Wait on Jehovah WTF when has he EVER come up with the goods ?

We hear that expression all the time from Jehovah's Witnesses, "Wait on Jehovah ", the concept is that as he is all-wise he knows better than us when things should be sorted out.

So it is O.K to let the Jehovah's Witnesses bumble on with false prophecies, false doctrines, for over 130 years, and to let paedophiles have the freedom to hide within and freely carry out their evil deeds and mental torture on innocent children whose lives are then ruined, all because Jehovah's Witnesses should not:

"presumptiously run ahead ", ahead of what ? The 'bus driven by Jehovah that never arrives ?

The basis for this non-thinking is very tenuous and makes no sense of course, but what I am asking you great brains on here for help with is a quick reply to the phrase that will make a Jehovah's Witness see just how silly that idea is, it needs to be a pithy quip, so what have you got please ?

The generation doctrine must have been changed half a dozen times that I can think of, How do you explain your church hierachy wasn't 'running ahead', or presumptious, itself, for all of the versions that have passed their use by date? And while you're at it, explain how my son can be the same generation as my grandfather. (Use an example from your own family).

I have never had a JW want to discuss this.

    <sings> I'm my own grandpa...

Now many many years ago when I was twenty-three
I was married to a widow who was pretty as can be
This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red
My father fell in love with her and soon they too were wed

    Oh I'm my own grandpa
    I'm my own granpa
    It sounds funny I know,
    But it really is so
    Oh I'm my own grandpa

This made my dad my son-in-law and changed my very life
My daughter was my mother 'cause she was my father's wife
To complicate the matter even though it brought me joy
I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy

My little baby then became a brother-in-law to Dad
And so became my uncle, though it made me very sad
For if he was my uncle, then that also made him br'ther
Of the widow's grown-up daughter who was also my stepmother

Father's wife then had a son who kept them on the run
And he became my grandchild, for he was my daughter's son
My wife is now my mother's mother and it makes me blue
Because altho' she is my wife, she's my grandmother too

Now if my wife is my grandmother, then I'm her grandchild
And every time I think of it, it nearly drives me wild
For now I have become the strangest case I ever saw
As husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa

That clever song makes more sense than the WT generation doctrine Jim ! Good one !

Strange that, BlackSheep, not wanting to discuss the teaching upon which all their Door to Door activity is based !

As to the Waiting on Jehovah thing, I thought of something along the lines of : "Waiting on Jehovah is like waiting for a 'bus, not much point if you are not standing at the 'bus-stop".

They would be hard pushed then to prove that they are waiting in the right place, "He" ain't never stopped there before !

Would you tell a cancer patient: "Wait on the cancer to sort itself out..."?

It took a whole heap of educated, dedicated, Worldly people who didn't wait on the Watchtowers version of god, and didn't spend their lives banging on doors preaching the Watchtowers paradise, (that never comes), to make it possible for you to have your new hip joints so you don't have to live in constant pain, stuck in front of the telly waiting to place a magazine with the Meals On Wheels lady. (Use an example from your own family)

Should the Jews have told the Allied forces thanks but no thanks we'll " Wait on Jehovah "

Should the slaves have told Lincoln Thanks but no thanks we'll " wait on Jehovah "

Should the victims of abuse not seek relief and jus' " wait on Jehovah "

When nothin' arrived in 1975, the smart folks refused to continue to "WAIT"

The WTS would like to make this "coming up with the goods" conditional and leave it open-ended.

*** w11 7/1 p. 7 A Meaningful Life—Now and Forever ***Do not hold back good from those to whom it is owing,” wrote Solomon, “when it happens to be in the power of your hand to do it.”—Proverbs 3:27.

=========so who judges who is owing, does the WTS and its reps on earth do it?
