Many newspapers have "independent contractor" status reporters. These free lancers are always on the look-out for a story- that is how they eat.
Even the staff reporters and editors are looking for "sources" EVERYDAY for fillers and CURRENT TOPICS. They have to fill the newspaper EVERYDAY.

You may be able to be a confidential source. Once printed in any major publication, your story will get the word out around the World because of Google and other internet search engines!
