I'm going to ask three questions,

I'm going to ask the first Witness,

    Q. ''Imagine you are dying on a hospital bed, and they offer you blood fractions in a bid to save your life. Are you allowed to take them?''

    A. ''Yes.''

    Turning to the second Witness,

    Q. The hospital ask you to donate your blood, so that they can extract the fractions needed to use in an attempt to save your partner's life. Are you allowed to donate your blood?''

    A. ''No.''

Of course, the answer is no.

Where are you going with the line of questioning?

Your thread is entirely reasonable and appropriate.

They will say "it's a conscience matter" and do their little JW circular reasoning dance all round the point.

I know because that is what we get from them engaging them online.

    Cheers everyone

Why not just accuse them of being Apostates?

Show them the scriptures from thier Bible where it plainly states to "Abstain from blood", then accuse them of twisting scripture so they wouldnt have to follow Gods commandments, then make them feel really bad by reminding them of all the JW babies that died due to thier faithfullness to Jehovah and his written word and ask them why they no longer consider the word of God absolute.

Why get all scientific, and hit them about slavery, specifically why Jehovah commanded it in the OT and why Jesus never condemned slave owners and told slaves to be good and faithful.
