  I would say as an NGO, registered or not, the WTS has benefitted from the United Nations protection of religious freedom just as they have from the European Court of Human Rights.

  ...as a few samples. Now, I can imagine a Witness justifying this activity as the "world" inadvertently doing the will of Jehovah, but it begs the question, why was this not predicted in prophecy? Indeed, the WTS continues to predict that the "United Nations...attack false religion." (June 15, 2012 page 18, para 17). This is contrary to the United Nation's mandate, which staunchly defends religious freedom everywhere.
