  Should we examine our Bible beliefs? According to the exhortation given by the Governing Body, the answer is a deafening, 'Yes!!'

  Here it is;

  w91 4/8 p. 23 - "Test your beliefs against God’s Word. Honest self-examination, comparing your beliefs with the Scriptures, will help you determine if your faith will pass the all-important test of God’s approval."

  w01 4/15 p. 21 - "Thus, true Christians do not need to look to any human as the source of inspired revelation. They are careful not to ‘make the word of God invalid’ because of human tradition."

  w64 4/1 p. 195 - " How can you put your religion to the test? By using the Bible as your measuring rod. That is the rule beside which you can put the doctrines and practices of your religion to see if they measure up to God’s standards. Extremely helpful, too, is the discussing of Bible doctrine and religious practice with those who have made a serious study of the Bible—Jehovah’s witnesses."

  Jesus and Jehovah never contradicted themselves, so why do those who claim to be directed by God, contradict themselves,andGod's Word?????

  km 9/07 p. 3 Question Box - "Does "the faithful and discreet slave" endorse independent groups of Witnesses who meet together to engage in Scriptural research or debate?"—Matt. 24:45, 47. - "No, it does not."

  Doesn't Almighty God commend the Beroeans for doing so? (Acts 17:11)

  Doesn't Almighty God command us to do so ? (1 John 4:1)

  Weren't false teachers going to arise from amongst us, so how would we be able to identify them? For all we know, the ones telling us not to examine what we believe, could be the very ones we were warned about!! (Matt. 24:24; 1 Tim. 4:1; 2 Thess. 2:4) Truth does not fear examination, it welcomes it!!

  Shame on anyone who tries to intimidate true Christians from searching into "the deep things of God". They sin against the Spirit.

  "We must obey God as ruler, rather than men

  Good post...yes no personal studied w/o WT..when I told CO that I needed to research some of our teachings as the bible said we were to do if we were to make sure...as he left he said go ahead but in the end you must come around (using hands to illustratrate a circle) back to our teachings as we must all be in union with what we teach. Even though I had talked to him about the flip flops that forced people to be disfellowshipped but would be acceptable now does not make sense.

  I have not seen him since and they have marked me, so no one comes to my house while in field ministry. The last person was from out of town and when the group leader saw she was talking with me, from the street she was yelling to her to come away from me. She looked back to me and smiled saying, "Oh My I am not suppose to be here", to which I told isn't that interesting as I am not disfellowshiped nor DA but I am marked for questioning some of our teachings nor do I seek to pull others away only if I am asked why I do not attend do I explain why. She said "We Love You Anyway", to which I said No You Don't, you may but as an organization they do not teach love if you have questions, which is not following Christ's example.

  She hurried off to the car group.

  This may be the clue, if an individual finds the truth, he may be reluctant to make his findings known out of fear of being labeled an apostate and df and shunned. It's also easier to df an individual. If a group of several witnesses gets together what could the result be if there were 10 individuals or 10 families who got df for learning TATT? An individual or one family isn't a big deal in a congregation of 100, you take away 10 or more at a time, this will definitely have a negative impact on the cash flow and on others.
