Gorbachev Foreshadows Watchtower

  Mikhail Gorbachev had some interesting things to say about communism
  recently. He called it "pure propaganda". It was an "unreal system"
  in which politicians "operated with lies". (AP news 3/11 9:30am)

  He noted that they kept saying that "Capitalism is moving towards
  a catastrophe, whereas we are developing well' Of course, it was
  pure propaganda".

  History will repeat itself.
  Maybe you'll hear similar honest words from a Governing Body
  member someday.

  Until then:
  "We are a worker's - oops! SPIRITUAL paradise!"
  "This old system will end SOON!"
  "Jehovah's Witnesses are the happiest people on earth!"
  "Wondrous Theocracy, ever increasing!"

  and so it goes...

  I think you and I have similar thoughts regarding the WTS and its use of "Theocratic War Strategy". Without "Theocratic War Strategy" the WTS could not exist anymore. It's the rust that's holding the old jalopy of the WTS together.

  Mikhail Gorbachev does not believe in God or in Theocracy. Jehovah's Witnesses do.

  That reminds me of an old Wizard of Id comic. One of the knights asks another one, "How's it going?" The first knight replies "Oh, I can't complain." Then in the next frame, he says, "It's forbidden."

  Come to think of it, that would make a great JW cartoon.

  Does any one realize that the Watchtower could not
  exist IF IT WAS HELD TO A HIGH STANDARD OF HONESTY?

  I'm not kidding here - and I'm not exaggerating either
  They would fall apart if they were forced into being fully truthful.
  That's one reason why opposers should keep hammering away at
  the 'Theocratic War Strategy' doctrine - by refusing to publically
  repudiate this teaching, they are admitting that they will
  lie whenever it suits them.

  What more proof would you want - of imitating 'the father of
  the lie', Satan - than this?

  The Witnesses believe in "God AND Theocracy" eh? Interesting.

  Tell us, where in the Bible does it tell us to believe in a Theocracy?

  Isn't that the problem the WTS has? It tries (and often succeeds) in convincing people that they need to believe in an organisation.

  Whatever happened to Jesus' words "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" ?
