You're weak in the faith...

My new job is very monotonous. It gives me an opportunity to think about all kinds of things. Sometimes good things... sometimes bad.

Sometimes I think about conversations I've had with the elders and my mom regarding my thoughts on the JW's. I was thinking about a few of things the elders said to me. For instance, "It seems like your faith has become weak." They say it almost like it is an insult. Like there's something wrong with me. I explained to them in detail why I don't believe the GB is god's representative on earth. Of course I'd be weak in the faith! You know, when you do the trust fall exercise, and the person who is supposed to be catching you, drops you. There's only so many times they drop you before you lose your faith in them.

They think there is something wrong with me? Nope, there is something wrong with them for continually being duped, and being happy about it!

"It seems like your faith has become weak."

This is where you turn it into a compliment by translating it in your own mind to .... "It seems you are not letting us brainwash you any more."

Of course, you could smile and in an exuberant tone respond with "Why yes, thank you for noticing. I've decided I'm not swallowing anymore Watchtower bull shiite." And walk away.

Well put Heaven ! This reminds me of when I first left and an Elder said to me, "Well you never were 100% commited", he was saying that as acriticism and minor insult, I took it as a complement.

I also used it as an opportunity to throw down the challenge, "build my faith, show me it is God's Organization", he never came back to me with proof.

Funny how jw's cannot see that one could have great 'faith' in God but no faith in the org. Just shows you how they see things, faith in the org is equivalent to faith in God. And they see no problem with this? they can't even wrap their head around my comment.

The poor bastards (conceived through spiritual adultery) have no idea what faith is, since they themselves have none.

Being spiritually blind they therefore redefine faith to mean religious belief in Watchtower doctrines, traditions and commands of men. Appalling!

Just for starters, faith emanates from God, whereas belief emanates from man...

When the average person who has been in it for 30 years or more will not do anything without consulting the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger, it is a pretty lame faith.

MrFreeze, your "trust fall" illustration earns a "G"

Heaven, nice translation there. I use the expression, "I'm not as gullible as when I was a kid." So now I'll add the exuberant phrase, "Thanks for noticing!"

WHen we feel that way we need to seperate our faith in Jesus as to faith in the watchtower society. The distinction is wide. Get comfort by going the name above every other name , the one who sacrificed his life for you. You will find rest and peace in him
