Today watching Fatal attraction (Animal plant).

A lady in Australia at an early age had an unusual attraction

too reptiles, alienating her from other young kids.

As a adult she rescued dangerous animals otherwise they

would be killed. Unwanted creatures were left at her home.

One nite someone left a baby crocodile. Soon after the arrival

of the crocodile her son was born. They grew up togather, as

she said "like brother and sister". At 3-4 yrs. old the young boy

slept with the 3-4 ft. crocodile. Ok , that,s extreme.

Now my grandson. Eight years old, also at a early age this kid

loves bugs. Any question about bugs, ask him. His room, bugs

and reptiles books, cages of bugs. His second years in school

he started a bug club. His members,3rd -5th grade. When he

comes over he turns up every stone in our back yard looking

for bugs. When we go out to play golf, he,s looking for bugs.

It,s just weird. He,s a very smart kid but should I be concern.

Leave him be, he could become an entomoligist some day. He started a group? wow, sounds like you have a leader on your hands! Kids get attached to learning about all sorts of things and have favorites for quite some time. I wish I could tell you some of my kids weird fascinations but alas, it would most definately give me away. Anyway, be proud, he sounds like quite a character and smart too!

That's really cool! He has a passion for bugs, which is awesome; to find one's passion at such a young age.

    Agree with Carla 100%

    :))

Caria: When he was 5yrs. old I told him when you grow up

you will probably become a lawyer, no Papa a entomoligist.

I had to look it up word in the dictionary.

I think thats awesome that he has such a fascination. I'm encroaching upon my mid thirties and still get the creeps when I come across big spiders and thousand leggers. I wish I had that little guy's balls. I wish at his age I would have developed a fascination with something unique like bugs. In my thirties and still dont have a hobby worth discussing. As a born in JW I never got the chance. Let that kid enjoy what he likes. In due time he may forget all about or maybe its a sighn of great things in his future related to science and nature.

I agree with Carla and Tal. It is AWESOME that he has a facination, and passion for something. There is certainly no harm in his choice of passion. But that passion might well sustain him through the awkward 'finding oneself' adolescent/teen years.

    Peace,

    tammy
