that was a great post with a great point!
I think it's an interesting point but short sided. However having said that.......... the WTBTS is famously kid adverse. There is nothing for young children at the KH, no theocratic day care. No normal family life apart from meetings and service and spiritual obligations and of course unthinking obedience.
In the past the WT discouraged marriage and when followers married they discouraged them from starting a family.
If they had children they were forbidden to celebrate their birthdays, engage in after school activities, play organized sports and get a higher education.
How's all that working out for them? According to PEW they have the worst retention rate among religions in the USA (67% leave).
Pay back is a bitch.
Did you write that Bangalore?, are you a Houseparent to unwanted Children?
If so, even though I like you anyway from the old e-Watchman days, I like you even more now.
