I find it very hard to believe Quakers did not stand up for child abuse victims. Indeed, I find it impossible to conceive.
Marci Hamilton is a great scholar but she has bias. Her bias happens to coincide with my bias. She is not the only expert in the field. There are other voices. It is strange b/c I value what she writes so highly. Neutral- she is not. Perhaps neutrality is not a good thing when abuse is involved.
