The reason for the New Light on the FDS

New websites have been popping up such as anointedjw.org in which Witnesses who believe they are anointed are spreading the word that anyone can become anointed and go to heaven.

Under the previous teaching that all anointed are part of the FDS, then these sites would have much more credit because, after all, they are anointed (and therefore part of the FDS).

There are copies of numerous letters to the Society posted on anointedjw.org, so the Society is obviously well aware.

The easiest way for the Society to discredit these sites and thus discourage their message is to strip them of their FDS status. Now, the FDS is only the Governing Body, not the rest of the anointed.

You may be right. If so it wasn't a very smart move, Anointedjw have already received e-mails about this rumored change. Those with a little awareness might actually be shaken up by this. It almost looks like the GB are trying hard to get more people to leave, with this change and the latest BOE letter.

The biblical text speaks of the 144,000, not applies to heaven, but to land, as princes or governors or dirigirentes of a government, but not as it is understood today to princes, rich, arrogant, ect, but normal people,

Being before the Lamb, not not imply be in heaven, this "be", not be directly in front of him

Okay I do not accept the Bible as fact or anything (atheist here) but I always assumed the 144,000 was a figurative number in a some way, not literal. Why is everything in Revelations to the JW literal, except that particular number.

Most fundies want/need to view as much of the Bible literally as they can, because the more you reclassify parts of the Bible as allegorical or symbolic (or simply wrong), the stronger the temptation becomes to view all of it as - at best - impossible to fully nail down, and - at worst - not even of divine origin.
