I just googled it and that's really cool. I've seen stranger cloud formations back in Indiana than here in California.

Yes, I have seen this phenom. it is beautiful. We also see lenticular clouds over Mt Hood and Mt Adams. This evening there are heavy mists of fog coming off the mountains above us. Looks like forest fire smoke. Very beautiful and wild.

around here folks would believe it's proof of UFOs. We get lenticular clouds, too, and local folks are sure UFOs hide behind them. They also believe that contrails from airplanes are really chemical poisons the government uses to deliberately poison us. None of them has ever been able to tell me WHY the government wants to poison us randomly in this bizarre way.
