Goood question.
When rank&file JWs seek to earn a decent living and provide a good home for their family - plus a relatively reliable retirement - that's called "materialism", especially if such rank&file JWs send their kids off to college...
On the other hand, when the Watchtower Society is worth 3 billion dollars, that's "jehovah" 'blessing' them...

As usual the Watchtower hates the truth which once again exposes and accuses them.
Materialism is walking by flesh, by sight, and by letter, instead of by spirit.
By this definition the Watchtower is one of the most materialistic religious organisations around.
