For any who were former elders: Suppose a sister was interested in a brother and she called the elders in his cong. However, the brother was reproved. If the sister knew about the reproof already, would you as an elder proceed to tell the sister about the details of the reproof? Or just the overall picture? What would you do? Thanks for any help.
Any former elders? I have a question. . .

When I was an elder, I had to deal with this more then once. I would first ask what details she already knew, then ask how it could affect the marriage. If she didnt know any details or not enough and I thought she was headed for trouble I would tell her with another elder, and after talking to the body of elders, that we dont recommend this marriage. And then talk to the man about telling her the detail. But now I would keep my nose out of it.

When an Elder
If it was a public reproof - yes if the Brother was still under restrictions
If it was a private reproof no - breach of confidentiality
Now
Tell her its none of her business and "get a life"
