Sociologically speaking as a religion, the JW's are at a threshold of continued cultishness and obscurity, or re-oriontation to a more 'mainline' Christian religion with its own unique distinctiveness

I say the WT will take the middle ground....

    Care to expostulate?

What exactly is the 'middle ground'? I'm having a tough time imagining one.

Right. They'll stick to their guns on the non-controvertial issues that still involve control, but as for blood, shunning, and 'apostates' they'll soften on, or lose a whole lot of people. People are getting a lot less tolorant of religious idiocy.

The middle ground is the yellow line down the middle of the highway. You can get smacked by traffic from both directions.

I was just remembering the state highway maintenance department of South Carolina (I think it was, or some southern state) that accidentally (I hope) painted a yellow stirp across of the body of a dead cat.

That's what we need to do to the governing body and ESPECIALLY J. R. BROWN.

Paint a yellow stipe down their bodies and then drive over them.

I would like to think They will gradually surrender cultic practises and become wishy washy mainstream.
However they ve got a big problem.
Theyve got a LOT of history thats been covered over. They CHOSE to do that.Their history cover up is VERY extreme.More extreme than the other "sects". Dont know how theyre going to deal with that in the long term.
    Their problem.

All religion start out as a cult. Even the Catholic church started out that way. Although how good can a church be that allows pedifiles in it and takes money from poor third world countries. I can't wait to see the end of all organized religions but we know that will never happen in our or our childrens life times.
