Read this little story in a meditation book:

A friend's son was in the first grade of school, and his teacher asked the class, "What is the color of apples?" Most of the children answered red. A few said green. Kevin, my friend's son, raised his hand and said white. The teacher tried to explain that apples could be red, green, or sometimes golden, but never white. Kevin was quite insistent and finally said, "Look inside."
And the moral of the story is... Don't ask kids inane questions, they may make a fool out of you.

In my garden is one of subspecies we call valkea kuulas (that would translate something like white translucent). When it is ripe it is as white outside than inside.

The moral of the story to me is... Do not ask questions unless you know what you are talking about.

Children are very perceptive, more than what we realise.

True story. This guy is sitting at restaurant with his family. He looks at his four year old son and, showing very poor judgment, he asks him: "Who do you love more, Mommy or me?" The son, far wiser than his father, even at his innocent age, replies that he loves them both the same. The mother smiles but the father is adamant about finding out which parent the child loves more. He tells the little boy, "Suppose a man gave you a gun and told you to shoot either me or mommy, who would you shoot?" Again, the guy is showing very poor judgment. The child responds without a moment's hesitation: "I would shoot him, daddy." The father's mouth falls open. He stopped questioning the boy at that time.

A few weeks ago Liam came home from school with someting he had made. It looked just like a camera, made from different shaped boxes and card glued together. I said to him 'wow thats great, is it a camera?' He looked as if I was completely stupid and said ' No mum, its a box'

lol.. Just for the record I think in that particular context the intended moral is about what's inside, and you might also look at it as the fact that most of the apple is actually white, just the skin, stem and seeds are not... And I guess that's only for the most part.

Heres yet another gem from a child, although it brought more than a little embarassment to the mother.

A barmaid I work with was in Dunkin Donuts with her daughter. After selecting "donut holes", she remarked to her daughter, "Ooooh, they look just like your butt", perhaps commenting on the particular color of the variety she selected. The little girl, not to be outdone, remarked, "Ooooh, they look just like your boobies", DEFINITELY commenting on the size of her mom's breasts!!!
