I havnt visited this site or posted in a long time. My fade was going good and i was even able to vent freely without paying the price. however i have spoken up to the wrong people and have had to keep a low profile to spare my family the grief of APOSTACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I am sick to my stomach about how some of my closest friends have reacted to my differing views on their faith. The same people who have been relentlessly let down and abandoned by their religion in their darkest times of need. My only inspiration is how the truth of religious fallacy is spreading like wild fire, at least where i live. Its remarkably disturbing tho how witnesses throw around the word apostate to kill any sensible religious or theological discussion. Its a logical discussion killer in the same way that Bush used terrorist or Mcarthy used communist.

What else did you expect? You were all fed the same poison against listening to 'differing' views.
If you want to engage with them, you have to remember those lessons and get a bit more cunning about how you go about getting them to defend their staying with the cult.
Instead of offering your apostate view, question something that they already have a problem with and then make them do all the talking. You shut up except to point out any dishonesty. Dishonesty can usually be dealt with by questioning to remind them of something they, or the WT, said in the past when bashing other people and churches.
