As an unbaptised publisher I would ocassionally accompany sisters out in service
durin' the weekday. One particular day a younger sister and I wound up on a dirt
road where she parked on the side of so she would not get stuck in the bible studies
yard.
No one answered the door, so the sister drove further down this dirt road
and this is where a division amongst Jehovah's servants occured
Call it what you want. Weed from the wheat, wolves from the sheep
I call it a dividin' of the sane from the crazy
As we drove along I soon found out that this was a dead end
wit a house that was in somewhat of a bottom. There was a fence
post that had an offensive sign attached, and what looked to be signs
of target practice layin' round
I said " Back it up baby girl, we tresspassin' "
She said " Were only turnin' round "
I said " Back it up chile, you may not be trespassin' but accordin' to that
sign , I WAS "
She didn't have to back out fast, a hundred woulda done jus' fine
all she had to do was slap it in reverse and gun it like a hell hound
til we hit pavement, then wheel it from there.
That ain't to much to ask is it ? But Noooo, sista zealous had to test Jehovah
and use me as part of the bait. what if we hada got stuck ?
I can't do no runnin' and a fast walk won't do trynna get out of a bad situation
I know God is able to protect. He provided me wit hairs on the back of my neck
and when they stand up I do take note as part of my protection.
I read about Daniel in the lions den. I read about Shedrach, Meshach, and Abednego
those folks did not test God
I also read where satan told Jesus to take a flyin' leap to see if the angels
would catch 'em, and Jesus said, " YOU MUST NOT PUT GOD TO THE TEST"
from my understandin' of that scripture that meant if stuff had hit the fan
there would be no angels comin' to lift us out of that bottom. Why ????
Cuz she was ...........testin'
Last I checked Jesus already was designated as the sacrificial lamb
and the sacrifice of my hide woulda been a mere guesture at best
totally unnessesary
Like I said before, what some call weak in the faith, I call usin' good sense
and what some call sittin' on the fence, I call bein' well balanced
in my dealin' wit the witnesses I found them to be quite unbalanced
like a tipped scaled. and in my neck of the woods, we call that damn crazy
If somethin' hada happened to me down in that bottom, the only puzzle my
family could piece together was that I had become involved wit a unbalanced group
No sane person would wind up in such a place unless by accident
this was a bible study of hers, this was not her first time there
as for me it was the first and the last
.
