    *** w64 6/15 pp. 355-356 Strive to Be Consistent ***

The Bible, man’s only sure guide, does not gloss over inconsistency; it does not wink at it or condone it. Rather, throughout its pages it strongly condemns inconsistency. How bluntly Jesus, the Son of God, exposed the inconsistency of the religious leaders of his day! They claimed to be the children of Abraham but they were not doing the works of Abraham...

Those men had seated themselves in Moses’ seat, teaching his law, but did they practice what they preached? No, they were inconsistent. “They say but do not perform,” Jesus declared. Further highlighting their inconsistency, Jesus said that they were straining out gnats while swallowing camels.—Matt. 23:2, 3, 24. End of quote.

What glaring inconsistencies get your goat the most?

The fact that the GB does this continuously without explanation or apology shows them to be as arrogant & heartless as the Scribes & Pharisees. I sincerely hope they suffer the same fate. (Where's that buring Hell when you need it the most?)

The Jehovah Witness Confession of Faith All Must Obey To Remain Approved By God"

This are the statements the Governing Body Gestapo demanded each member of the Bethel Family to confess according to C.O.C. page 330 PDF format version. I think their were ten confessions, I am looking for the final two. Ray's comments are sharp as he addressed these scary statements in his head, he was smart enough to know it was a "mock trial" and remain quite at this point.

"1. That God has an "organization" on earth-one of the kind here atissue- and uses a Governing Body to direct it? Where does the Biblemake such statements?

    2. That the heavenly hope is not open to anyone and everyone who willembrace it, that it has been replaced by an earthly hope (since 1935) andthat Christ's words in connection with the emblematic bread and wine,"Do this in remembrance of me," do not apply to all persons puttingfaith in his ransom sacrifice? What scriptures make such statements?

    3 Matthew 23:8; Romans 6:14; 8:14; Ephesians 4:4-6; 1 Corinthians 11:26; 1 Timothy 2:5;Acts 1:7.Point of Decision 3313.

That the "faithful and discreet slave" is a "class" composed of onlycertain Christians, that it cannot apply to individuals, and that itoperates through a Governing Body? Again, where does the Biblemake such statements?

    4. That Christians are separated into two classes, with a different relationshipto God and Christ, on the basis of an earthly or a heavenly destiny?Where is this said?

    5. That the 144,000 in Revelation must be taken as a literal number and thatthe "great crowd" does not and cannot refer to persons serving in God'sheavenly courts? Where do we find those statements in the Bible?

    6. That the "last days" began in 1914, and that when the apostle Peter (atActs 2:17) spoke of the last days as applying from Pentecost on, he didnot mean the same "last days" that Paul did (at 2 Timothy 3:1)? Where?

    7. That the calendar year of 1914 was the time when Christ was firstofficially enthroned as King toward all the earth and that thatcalendar date marks the start of his parousia? Where?

    8. That when the Bible at Hebrews 11:16 says that men such asAbraham, Isaac and Jacob were "reaching out for a better place, that is, one belonging to heaven

Ray continues with this summation "Not a single Society teaching there dealt with could be supportedby any plain direct statement of Scripture. Every single one wouldrequire intricate explanations, complex combinations of texts and, insome cases, what amounts to mental gymnastics, in an attempt tosupport them. Yet these were used to judge people's Christianity, setforth as the basis for deciding whether persons who had poured outtheir lives in service to God were apostates!"
