The September 15, 1910 Watchtower has Russell going on the rampage of how a person "could get by with reading "Studies in the Scriptures without using the Bible, and remain in the "Light"."

This same person "who decides to toss books in the trash, by year number Two, loose all their light because the Bible can't provide light by itself" You needed the "Studies in the Scriptures" to remain in God's favor, not the Holy Bible.

Can someone please print this article to this OP Thread, to show the "Lurkers" the Organization believed the Bible was not as valuable as the crazy literature Russell and Rutherford wrote. Thank you!

PAGE 30 OF "IN SEARCH OF CHRISTIAN FREEDOM" I STARTED THE BOOK TONIGHT, IT'S GOOD! BUY THE BOOK, IT'S WORTH IT!

"I had heard o nly vague references to these statements until, in1979, in a Governing Body session, President Franz referred tothem in support of a point he was making, saying that:Pastor Russell used to say that if a person had to choose betweenhaving just the Bible itself or one of the Society's publications, hewould be better off with the Society's publications" PAGE 31

Russell, like so many other religious types, thought his ideas came directly from god so if you got his logic you to were of the special class like he was.

Matters not. The LIE-ble, Talmud, Quran, Book of Mor[m]ons, and all the washtowel littera-trash are all designed to keep people in spiritual darkness. Every single one of them. About all they are good for is to show the contempt these groups show for society in general, and how they are working hard to bring everyone into favor with Jehovah, Jesus, or Allah so such god can enslave them. Besides this, these publications (and this is regardless of which denomination of which platform you are in) encourage people to waste their money on donations, trust in [Jehovah, Jesus, Allah] instead of preparing for things yourself, and setting us up for global enslavement.

Once you put down your LIE-ble, Talmud, Quran, Book of Mor[m]ons, and/or washtowel littera-trash, you are now free to look objectively at real spirituality. Depending on whether you were successfully bound to [Jehovah, Jesus, Allah] in a proper ritual or not, you may still receive damnation. However, at least you will not simply go into enslavement without at least knowing that your religion is taking you that way. And you will not be wasting your life obeying stupid rules--turning on a switch during the Sabbath, having face veils for women at all times in public, and giving up your soul as being totally dependent on a savior because of some ancestor some 6,000 years ago "sinning" are all ridiculous and stupid rules and beliefs. Not to mention, being expected to waste your life evangelizing--in your own territory or some foreign land such as Nigeria, is not spiritually enriching.

I had to chuckle at the spelling of veil in the Watchtower article where it is spelled "vail". That's a nice place to ski, but, hardly relevent:)

Look at the chain of assumptions and how one builds upon the other in that article.

1.Assuming it actually IS the ending of the age.

2.Assuming they are favoried with understanding

3.Assuming the invention of the electric light simply had to have been god's signal of the end of the age

4.Assuming the "vail" had been removed so that hundreds of thousands could now see it

5.Assuming that the Watchtower conception of theology is the result of god's due time for truth to be explained

6.Assuming the Studies in the Scriptures were "practically the bible itself"

7.Assuming a greater status for Russell's exposition over the bible itself

There is a very telling paragraph concerning certain scoffers who complained that they already knew these teachings from long ago.

This are Adventists who had read Adventist writings, of course, that Russell had shoplifted! Then, he took careful credit for them and was jealous others were getting credit!

Russell complains that they certainly did NOT know because he, Russell, was coming up with them due to god revealing them to him!

Thank you, the Organization is guilty of creature worship, obeying men over God!

The old joke about assuming, "You make a ASS out of U and ME", Russell was the greater Loki!
