Once upon a time, many years ago, Bethel - and the factory in particular - was a nasty, sweatshop hellhole. They could hardly keep up with all the young guys leaving. Bad attitudes were everywhere.
In response, most guys complained, blew off steam, drank beer and chased hot sisters. Not all of them, though...
There were always a few guys labeled "Self Righteous" who zealously avoided all such (normal) 'wrongdoing' and fanatically pressed on in their 'integrity'. And they all had one thing in common.....
They didn't last. Almost to a man, these guys 'broke' often suddenly. Some had nervous breakdowns and left.
So, the next time you hear about how ordinary publishers are thrilled with all of the downsizing and cutbacks, consider that they may be lying to themselves and everyone else. They may break unexpectedly after reaching the end of their rope - and they may be fakes, entirely.
The Watchtower ignores its own history, to its peril.
