Question: Are any cheap computers user friendly for the elderly?
I have some family members with bad eyes and a spot of dementia. Has anyone used one of the new big HP touchscreens with windows 8? Could an elderly person get online and find this site? Send an email?
Would a tablet be better? Apple? Perhaps a used I-Pad?????
I am a die hard Win 7 laptop user and have never used anything else.

Yes, they had a corporate job 20 years ago.
If he or she has been away from computers for 20 years, I would absolutely recommend a Mac. However, there is no such thing as a "cheap" Mac.
Do you have a budget number?
I would call your disabled, elderly, state/federal agency for some ideas.
