On one of our "concert threads" there seemed to be a lot of Leonard Cohen fans. Just to let you all know he's doing a three and a half hour concert at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 18. Hudson Valley Ny

His "Live in London" concert he did a few years ago is great one to watch.

I am 60 years old and have been a musician all my life and a music lover with a

large collection of music. I only stumbled on hearing his music in 2012. I have heard

his name for years but never heard him on the radio or media sing.

I suppose I have become aware of him thru the internet and youtube. So that's a good thing.

He is different. I would put him in the same bag with Tom Waits. Unusuall singing voices and

1920's music. Lots of words. I give him credit to be able to remember and sing the words to his

    songs.

He is kind of like Dustin Hoffman channeling Bod Dylan.

He's awesome -- think he orignally was a song writer. Picking up his tapes for way over a decade. He's great to listen to when painting but his vernacular in some songs is a bit much if the older students catch the words. Heard/read somewhere in past few yrs. his manager embezzled his big money and he's had to go on tour doing concerts. He's not young.
