I once saw a bunch of pelicans lined up, crapping in the water. A bunch of sailcats were below and ate the crap as soon as it hit the surface.
Not anywhere near the best tasting fish, imho. But I'm not that picky.

I caught a largemouth bass, about 16" and it had a feather in it's throat. I grabbed it with my fishing pliers and gave a tug, it was in there pretty secure, maybe still attached to the bird. I took out the hook and let it go. Fish are preadators and a pond or lake my look serene, but it is really a violent place, eat and be eaten. Hudson Valley NY
