Hating the world while rejected by the Organizatio

I have come across an interesting type of non-JW. They believe most, if not all of the teachings of the WTS, but are no longer officially recognized as a member.

They believe, as the WTS believes, that the world is evil and will be destroyed. At the same time they are not welcome in the organization for one reason of another.

So there they are, hating the world and steaming about the organization - "caught between a rock and a hard place" - usually full of anger with no way to vent.

I know another type of people that go by the same description. I was one of them. They are rejected socially by their congregation. They don't get asked to do things fun with the witnesses but being a witness has made them hate the world. It's very depressing. I was one of those. My older sister was the one who was asked to go do fun things while I was just a add on. I was even ditched by my (supposed) best-friend for my sister. My sister was asked to go roller skating (and I was never mentioned) by an elder's wife even though I was standing right there. She even said something like, "We'd like to get some the kids from the congregation together". I guess somehow I didn't fit that description. :( evil little lemmings!

    forgetmenot,

How sad... it begs the question: "Which is worst, being dead or a ghost?"

    In but not accepted.

There are alot of inactive/DF'd individuals who have one foot in the world and the other foot out. As foretmenot mentioned, some are still active in the cong.

Crazy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Hi Elsewhere

Faith without works is dead...thats what I was taught. Hardly seems worthwhile sharing the same faith if you're not doing the same works. Yet at the same time I can understand why they don't want to be completely 'out'. They believe...they just don't want to do the works...some people just can't keep up with 5 meetings a week, FS every weekend...meeting preparation...days text every day...bible reading every day..blah blah blah. And so...they believe...they just don't practice it.

Very common...especially with some couples where one spouse is active and one is not.
