That's the conclusion I came to just before I left JWs 8 years ago. I couldn't understand why they didn't take steps to protect children unless they themselves were pedophiles.
I had a civics teacher back in high school who told us that legislators enact lighter punishment for offences they themselves are more likely to commit. Drunk driving was the big one back then - a mere slap on the wrist. (In the intervening years things have changed, thanks to grass roots campaigns like MADD.)
That little lesson came back to me when I first learned of the pedophilia in the organization, and the only conclusion I could come to was what you posit in your video, Punky.

Jaracz was the one who's generally credited with resisting positive reform back in the 90s..
I'd heard there were some allegations about him that were swept under the rug, but I don't know any more than that.

Punky: that makes perfect sense.
So what next?
There needs to be a royal commission into child abuse in organisations incl religions in the US like Australia is doing so that people can start to come forward and this can be hopefully uncovered.

l p - Yes. I suspect there is a paedo element high up in the cult leadership. This is why they go easy on paedos but are hard on non sensical things.
This cult is dangerous. They'll let you and your kids die for not having blood transfusions. They'll break up families because one member leaves the cult.
BUT......
They go easy on paedos!! Tells me a lot about the sexual activities of the GB.
