Well, from what can quickly be learned from wikipedia - clearly this was something that was pushed by christians centuries after the supposed events of the bible.
So... not really evidence of anything other than there were Christians in the 500-800 era who wanted to promote their world view, I would say.

I don't see it. Most of the world doesn't even use the terminology. C.E. was coined to be more accurate than A.D. It means supremacy of a certain Christian derived culture. A.D. is very old usage now.

How can it possibly add credence, if everybody agrees its wrong ? Didnt the Pope say this the other day just before XMAS ?
