To paraphrase Martin Niemöller is this how it is in the congregations?
First they came for the adulterers ,?and I didn't speak out because I wasn't an adulterer.
Then they came for the smokers, ?and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a smoker.
Then they came for gamblers, ?and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a gambler.
Then they came for the brazen,?and I didn't speak out because I wasn't brazen.
Then they came for the apostates, ?and I didn't speak out because I wasn’t apostate.
Then they came for me,?and there was no one left to speak for me.
Or to put it another way:
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)
They have set it up so no one can do anything whilst still a member, nobody can speak out, evil can triumph.
Plenty speak out but since they are now "out" no one is allowed to listen. How can this be possibly defended?
